Kite vocab

TermDefinition
Third person limited. Focuses on one character.
Third person omniscient. Focuses on all characters.
Phrase. A group of words that mean something.
Transition/transitional phrase. A word or a group of words that bridge one idea to another in writing.
Concise/Precise. Straight to the point.
Central idea. The main idea.
Objective summary. A concise version of the text without your opinion.
Relevant vs. Irrelevant. applicable, not applicable.
Primary or Primarily. Main reason.
connotation. Emotion or idea that goes within the meaning.
Indicative. Statement.
Subjunctive. Wish.
Imperative. Command.
Conditional. Under the right conditions something may happen.
Maintain focus To keep ones attention.
Acknowledging an opposing viewpoint. neutrally identifying a counterargument, and demonstrating an understanding of different perspectives.
