Corroborate V. to support an idea, statement, or character's point of view by giving more evidence or proof. " The evidence corroborates the claim. "
Prevailing Adj. the idea or feeling that is the strongest. " Anger is the most prevailing because you can't control it "
Indicate V. to pick or point out " That indicates that the claim in false !! "
Tone N. the way authors express their personal opinions about themselves, the content, subject, and/or the audience. " The author's tone is hard to find "
Mood N. the emotions; what a reader feels when reading the excerpt. " The mood of the rising action was so gloomy "

Parenthetical citations N. citations are brief references within the text that provide readers with the source of the information. Parenthetical means the information is included in parenthesis " I like it when authors use parenthetical citations "
Works Cited N. a Works Cited page is a list at the end of paper or text that shows all the sources that were used to find the information. It gives credit to the authors and helps readers know where the facts came from. " it's missing a works cited page "
Emissions N. the release, discharge, or sending out of something into the air or environment. " The emissions from the fire was strong "
Emit V. to produce and discharge something. " I dont think it can emit "
Activist N. a person who campaigns to bring about political or social change. " She is such an activist "
