|---|---|
| Bisect | To divide a geometric object into two congruent parts |
| Circle | The set of all points on a flat surface that are the same distance from a fixed point |
| Consecutive Angles of a Polygon | The angles that occur at the two ends of any side of a polygon |
| Diameter | A line segment drawn through the center of a circle with both endpoints on the circle |
| Face | One of the flat surfaces of a polyhedron, including the base(s) |
| Kite | A quadrilateral with two distinct pairs of consecutive congruent sides |
| Radius | A line segment drawn from the center of a circle to a point on the circle |
| Regular Polygon | Convex with congruent angles and congruent sides |
| Square | A quadrilateral with four right angles and four congruent sides |
| Edge | In three dimensions, a line segment formed by the intersection of two faces of a polyhedron |
| Midpoint | Divides a segment into two segments of equal length |
| Rectangle | A quadrilateral with four right angles |
| Rhombus | A quadrilateral with four congruent sides |
| Tetrahedron | A geometric solid having four faces that are equilateral triangles |
| Trapazoid | A quadrilateral with at least one pair of parallel sides |
| Vertex | A point where two or more line segments or rays meet to form a "corner," such as in a polygon or angle |
| Central Angle | An angle with its vertex at the center of a circle |
| Diagonal | A segment that connects two vertices of the polygon but is not a side of the polygon |
| Exterior Angle | When a side of a polygon is extended to form an angle with an adjacent side outside of the polygon |
| Isosceles Trapezoid | A quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides and a pair of equal base angles (from the same base) |
| Midsegment | Joins the midpoints of two sides of a triangle |
| Parallelogram | A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides |
| Reflexive Property | States that any expression is always equal to itself |
| Right Trapezoid | A quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides and two right angles |
