Cellular Respiration Process in which glucose is broken down to create energy. It occurs in the mitochondria & releases CO2 and H2O as byproducts.

Mitochondria Organelle in eukaryotic cells where cellular respiration takes place, which creates ATP energy.
ATP Adenosine TriphosPhate is the source of energy for use & storage at the cellular level. It’s created in the Mitochondria of all eukaryotes
ADP Adenosine DiphosPhate (ADP) is the spent molecule of ATP. Has 2 phosphates and a lot less energy.
Aerobic Respiration The process of producing cellular energy (ATP) involving Oxygen.
Anaerobic Respiration A type of respiration that does not use oxygen. It is used when there is not enough oxygen for aerobic respiration
