Linking Verbs Do not show action; they show a state of being. They link a subject to an adjective or noun found after the verb(predicate adjective or predicate noun).-common linking verbs:forms of Be,grow,remain,stay,appear,become,turn,seem,look,sound,feel,taste,smell.
