Describe the geography of Greece The geography of Greece is a large peninsula. It had communities of Greek speakers scattered across islands and coasts.
What was life like for boys in Sparta? Life for boys in Sparta was tough . At the age of 18,young men began a two year program of military training. Also, to become a full citizen, they had to gain entry to a men’s club of soldiers.
Describe the government of Sparta Sparta was a city-state on the Peloponnesian peninsula. It was also ruled by two kings that served as military leaders.
Describe the government of Athens In Athens political reforms produced a golden age of democracy.The main political body of Athens was the assembly. Also a 500-person council known as the boule was a key component of the Athenian government.
How were the lives of Athenian and Spartan women different? Athenians had less freedom than Spartans. Richer Athenian women were expected to stay home while their husbands took part in public life. On the other hand Spartan women were able to sell land. They were also educated and trained in sports.
What jobs did most Greeks have? Greeks mostly had jobs of being skilled sailors and merchants.
Why did people migrate in Ancient Greece? People migrated in Ancient Greece because it was the solution to the population problem.
Who was Solon Solon was the leader of polis. He also ended the practice of selling into slavery poor people who could not pay their debts.
Who was Cleisthenes Cleisthenes made several reforms that reduced the power of the rich. Also, he increased the power of assembly,which included all male citizens.
Who was Pericle Pericles made a change that was to pay citizens for participating in jury and other civic duties.
