| 3rd Amendment | No quartering of soldiers |
| 5th Amendment | Right to remain silent, no double Jeopardy, right to due process |
| 7th Amendment | Right to jury in civil trials |
| 1st Amendment | Right to Religion, Assembly, Petition, Press, Speech |
| 6th Amendment | Right to a speedy trial by jury; representation by an attorney for an accused person (criminal). |
| 4th Amendment | Protection from unreasonable searches and seizures; need probable cause or search warrant obtained by a judge |
| 19th Amendment | Gave women the right to vote |
| 14th Amendment | Declares that all persons born in the U.S. are citizens and are guaranteed equal protection of the laws |
| 15th Amendment | Citizens cannot be denied the right to vote because of color, race, or previous condition of servitude. |
