Soil comes from what? dirt ( which comes from rock)

Why does sedimentary rock come from layers? The way the sand washes down stream in a river
Does Granite crumble? No because it is a pretty solid rock
What is the Earth's crust made up of? Large plates of rocks called tectonic plates
