| impermeable | a layer that does not allow water to move through the material |
| pollution | the process of making land, air, and water dirty and not suitable to use |
| fertilizer | a chemical or natural substance added to soil or land to increase its fertility |

| watershed boundary | the outer edge dividing one watershed from another |
