QuestionAnswer
What are two things Isaac Newton discovered? Gravity and calculus.
What is Newtons 1st law of motion? An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion until acted on by another force.
What is intertia? The tendency for an object to do nothing or remain unchanged.
What is friction? It is the resistance that one object experiences when moving on another object.
What is an unbalanced force? A force that is greater than the force acting on it.
What is Newton's 2nd law of motion? Force=Mass x Acceleration.
What is force measured in? Newtons.
What is Newton's 3rd law of motion? For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
What forces are acting on a soccer ball sitting still on a flat field? The downward force of gravity, and the upward force of the ground.
