Vocab WordPOSDEFSENTENCE
Precise Adj Exact and detailed He was precise with his work, not showing a single flaw.
Credibility N The quality of being trustworthy His credibility was above the charts making the renting process really sucessful
Purpose Adj The intent or aim (author’s purpose is his/her reason or objective in writing a text) His evil purpose was exposed.
Narrative tech's N Elements an author uses to tell a story including description, dialogue, pacing, and reflection. The Narrative tech he used was great for the project he was doing.
Counterclaim N an opposing claim that disagrees with the thesis He had a mid counterclaim, which is why he lost the match,
Rebuttal N Response to the counterclaim. Rebuttals support the claim in an argument/ debate. He had an unmatched rebuttal.
Audience N The person/people for whom a text is written. The audience was quite enthusiasic, many people answered in the interview.
Relevant Adj Pertaining to or applicable to a topic; germane Everything he said was relevant to the topic. Resulting in a high score for the competition.
Expository tech's N The elements the author uses that focus on central idea, provide evidence and examples, and present logical conclusions. "The expository tech's he used was really helpful both for the author and readers.
Citation N brief reference within the text that provides readers with the source of the information. The citation was supposed to help its reader, but this one was not helping at all.
