| Leadership | capacity to lead |
| Power | ability to act or produce an effect |
| Position Power | power a person has when they have a specific rank or title in an organization |
| Reward Power | the ability of a leader to motivate desired behaviors by providing positive, tangible, or intangible incentives, such as bonuses, promotions, or praise |
| Expert Power | ability to influence other through one’s specialized knowledge, skills, or experience, rather than through a formal position or authority |
| Identity Power | - ability to influence others based on their identity with the person |
| Leadership Style | the manner and approach of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people to accomplish a task |
| Initiative | an introductory step |
| Human Relations | a study of human problems arising from organizational and interpersonal relations |
| Integrity | a firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values |
| Autocratic Leadership | one person controls all the decisions and takes very little inputs from other group members |
| Democratic Leadership | a management style that empowers team member by involving them in the decision-making process |
| Free-rein Leadership | freedom of action or expression |
| Delegate | entrust a task or responsibility to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself |
| Self-managed teams | a group of employees empowered to plan, organize, and execute their own work towards a common goal, without needing constant supervision from a traditional manager |
| Open Leader | having the confidence and humility to give up the need to be in control while inspiring commitment from people to accomplish goals |
| Situational Leader | an adaptive approach where leaders modify their style to fit the specific needs of their team and the task at hand, recognizing there’s no one-size-fits-all method |
