| Leader | A person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. |
| Leadership | The office or position of a leader, the capacity to lead, or the act or an instance of leading |
| Power | The ability or right to control people or things |
| Position Power | The influence that a person holds as a result of their position or rank within an organization |
| Reward Power | The ability to give or withhold rewards, thus influencing others' actions or behaviors |
| Expert Power | Influence wielded as a result of expertise, special skill, or knowledge |
| Identity Power | ability to influence others based on their identity with the person |
| Leadership Style | the manner and approach of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people to accomplish a task |
| Initiative | The ability to assess and initiate things independently; the power or opportunity to act or take charge before others do |
| Human Relations | The study of human problems arising from organizational and interpersonal relations |
| Integrity | The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness |
| Autocratic Leadership | one person controls all the decisions and takes very little inputs from other group members |
| Democratic Leadership | A style of leadership where members of the group take a more participative role in the decision-making process |
| Free-rein Leadership | A leadership style that allows members to work on their own with minimal supervision |
| Delegate | entrust a task or responsibility to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself |
| Self-managed teams | Groups that are given the autonomy and responsibility to manage themselves and the work they do |
| Open Leader | having the confidence and humility to give up the need to be in control while inspiring commitment from people to accomplish goals |
| Situational Leader | A leader who adapts their style to suit the needs of the situation and the people involved |
