Leader Someone who directs another's way
Leadership The act of leading
Power Control, authority, or influence over others
Position Power Authority given to someone based off of their formal title/rank
Reward Position Ability of leader in motivate behaviors by providing positive incentives
Expert Position Ability to influence others through ones skills, and/or knowledge
Identity Power Ability to influence others based on their identity with the person
Leadership style The manner and approach of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people to accomplish a task
Initiative Energy displayed in initiation of action
Human Relations A course or program designed to develop better interpersonal and intergroup adjustments
Integrity Firm adherence to a code of more or artistic values
Autocratic Leadership One person controls all the decisions and takes very little inputs from other group members
Democratic Leadership Style of leading where higher ups consult with employees, encouraging collaboration and participation in decision-making
Free-rain Leadership Hands off management where leaders provide minimal direction, allowing highly skilled teammates to make decisions and manage their own work.
Delegate Entrust a task or responsibility to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself
Self-managed teams Empowered groups that organize and control their own work toward shared goals, deciding who and what to do tasks and how.
Open leader Having the confidence and humility to give up the need to be in control while inspiring commitment from people to accomplish goals
Situational Leader An adaptable leader who modifies their management style, and approach to fit the specific task
