SAGITTAL PLANE divides the body into two parts lengthwise
FRONTAL OR CORONAL PLANE divides the body into front and back sections from top to bottom
TRANSVERSE OR HORIZONTAL PLANE divides the body into upper and lower portions
MEDIAL toward the middle of the body
ANTERIOR toward the front of the body
POSTERIOR toward the back of the body
SKELETAL bones, axial skeleton, appendicular skeleton, and joints
MUSCULAR muscles and tendons
INTEGUMENTARY skin, hair, nails, and glands in skin
