Two events that started WW1 for the US- Sinking of the Lusitania (1915): A British passenger ship sunk by a German U-boat, killing Americans onboard. Zimmermann Telegram (1917): A secret message from Germany to Mexico proposing an alliance against the US, which pushed the US closer to war.
WW1 coming to an end and its aftermath- -Ended with an armistice on November 11, 1918. -Treaty of Versailles (1919) officially ended the war, placing blame and heavy reparations on Germany. -Led to political and economic instability in Europe, setting the stage for WWII.
