SUSTAINABLE able to continue for a long time without harming the environment. It is a choice we make to change to a greener and more sustainable lifestyle.
ECO-FRIENDLY not harmful to the environment. There are many things you can do to become an eco-friendly person.
APPLIANCES machines or devices used in the home. Turning off your appliances when they are not in use is one of the easiest ways to save energy.
CARBON FOOTPRINT the amount of carbon dioxide released into the air by a person or activity. This is one of the easiest ways to save energy and reduce your carbon footprint.
ORGANIC produced without using harmful chemicals. Buying products that are grown using more natural and organic methods helps reduce chemicals in food.
HARMFUL causing damage or danger This helps reduce the use of harmful chemicals in food.
PLASTIC WASTE unwanted plastic materials thrown away. It takes many years for plastic waste to break down into small pieces.
REUSABLE able to be used again many times. Bring a reusable bag when you go shopping.
RAW MATERIALS natural substances used to make products. Recycling reduces the need to collect new raw materials.
NATURAL RESOURCES materials from nature such as water, trees, and minerals. Recycling helps protect natural resources such as water and trees.
