TermDefinition
Anemia Lower than normal number of erythrocytes.
Atrial Fibrillation Occurs when the normal rhythmic contraction of the atria are replaced by rapid, irregular twitching of the heart wall.
Cardiac Catherization a diagnostic procedure in which a catheter is passed into a vein pr artery and then graded into the heart.
Coronary Thrombosis Damage to the heart muscle caused by a thrombus blocking a coronary artery.
Ischemic Heart Disease A group of cardiac disabilities resulting from an insufficient supply of oxygenated blood to the heart.
Phlebitis The inflammation of a vein.
Raynaud's Disease A peripheral arterial occlusive disease in which intermittent attacks are triggered by cold or stress.
Orthostatic Hypotension Low blood pressure that occurs upon standing up.
Thrombolytic Occlusion The blocking of an artery by a thrombus.
Ventricular Fibrillation Rapid, irregular, and contractions of the ventricles.
Ventricular Tachycardia Very rapid heartbeat that begins within the ventricles.
