| Weathering | the breaking down of larger rock into sediment |
| Erosion | the movement of sediment |
| Deposition | the dropping of sediment in a new location |
| Agent of change | a natural force like wind, water, or ice |
| Constructive force | builds up Earth’s surface |
| Destructive force | breaks down Earth’s surface |
| Delta | triangular (fan) shaped landform at the mouth of a river; agent of change = water |
| Sand dune | mountain of sand formed by deposition; agent of change =wind |
| Canyon | landform with steep sides carved out by water and wind; agent of change = water |
| Glacier | large, slow moving chunk of ice |
| U Shaped Valley | valley with steep sides and wide bottom formed by glaciers; agent of change = ice |
| Frost Wedging | weathering process where water repeatedly freezes and thaws in cracks of a rock, eventually breaking it |
