Latin America A,region that includes Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean where Romance languages are commonly spoken.
Cultural Identity The beliefs, traditions, language, and customs that shape how a group of people see themselves.
Indigenous Peoples The original inhabitants of a region before European contact and colonization.
Colonization The process by which a foreign power controls another land and its people politically, economically, and culturally.
Mestizaje The mixing of Indigenous, African, and European peoples and cultures in Latin America.
Hispanic A term used to describe people from Spanish-speaking countries or cultures.
Latino A term used to describe people from Latin America, regardless of the language they speak.
Cultural Diversity The presence of different cultures, ethnicities, languages, and traditions within a society.
Geography The study of land, climate, and physical features and how they affect human activity.
Enslavement (Slavery) The forced labor and ownership of people, particularly Africans brought to Latin America during colonization.
