what does scientific investigation mean A method of reasearch in which a problem, is identified
research means The systematic investigation of scientific theories.
oberservation meanas use one of the senses o rmeaserments.
inference means a conclusion drawn from observations as well as previous knowledge.
Hypothesis means a possible explanation for a set of observations or answer to say scientific question.
experiment means A text or trail.
independent variable means the one factor that a scientist changes during an experiment.
Dependent variable means The factor that changes as a result of changes during an experiment.
controlled variable means A variable in which the reashercher holds constant.
control means An expeirment designed to check or correct the results.
data means The information gained from observing and testing and experiment.
conclusion means. A short paragraph that discusses the overall results.
Analyze means. The process of interupting the meaning o the data we have collected.
data trends means. an upward or downward shift in a data set over time used.
scientific bias means. A subject belief that effects person's attitude.
Qualitative data means. Descriptions in words of what is being observed.
Empirical evidence means. Information gathered through direct observation, or.
pseudoscience means. A collection of claims, theories, or methods.
Objective reasoning means. making conclusions based on facts, evidence, and logic.
Subjective reasoning means. making conclusions based on personal options, feelings, and beliefs.
