Jestem z Polski, ale mieszkam w Wielkiej Brytanii od kilku lat. I’m originally from Poland, but I’ve been living in the UK for a few years now.
Mieszkam niedaleko Wrocławia, w małym miasteczku niedaleko mojego miejsca pracy. I live near Wrocław, in a small town not far from my workplace.
Jestem po trzydziestce i mieszkam tu przez większość dorosłego życia. I’m in my late thirties and I’ve been here most of my adult life.
Pracuję w biurze, a moja praca jest głównie administracyjna, więc większość dnia spędzam przy komputerze. I work in an office and my job is mainly administrative, so I spend most of the day at a computer.
W tej chwili pracuję na pełen etat, ale myślę o zmianie pracy w niedalekiej przyszłości. At the moment I’m working full-time, but I’m thinking about changing jobs in the near future.
Pracuję z domu kilka dni w tygodniu, co trochę ułatwia mi życie. I work from home a few days a week, which makes my life a bit easier.
Jestem w związku małżeńskim i jesteśmy razem od ponad dziesięciu lat. I’m married and we’ve been together for over ten years now.
Jestem po rozwodzie, ale mamy dobre relacje i dzielimy się opieką nad dziećmi. I’m divorced, but we’re on good terms and we share the care of the children.
Jestem obecnie w związku, chociaż nie mieszkamy razem. I’m in a relationship at the moment, although we don’t live together.
Mam dwoje dzieci, które są jeszcze dość małe, więc większość mojego wolnego czasu kręci się wokół życia rodzinnego. I have two children who are still quite young, so most of my free time is about family life.
Nie mam jeszcze dzieci, ale to coś, o czym mogę pomyśleć w przyszłości. I don’t have children yet, but it’s something I might think about in the future.
Moje dzieci są już dorosłe i żyją własnym życiem. Mam 29-letniego syna i 35-letnią córkę. My kids are already grown up and living their own lives now. I’ve a 29-year-old son and a 35-year-old daughter.
W tygodniu zazwyczaj wstaję wcześnie, ponieważ dojazd do pracy zajmuje mi sporo czasu. On weekdays I usually get up early, because my commute takes quite a long time.
Po pracy robię trochę obowiązków domowych i próbuję uczyć się angielskiego, chociaż często jestem zbyt zmęczony, żeby robić coś więcej. After work I do some housework and try to learn English, although I’m often too tired to do very much.
Większość wieczorów po prostu gotuję coś prostego i spędzam czas z rodziną. Most evenings I just cook something simple and spend time with my family.
Kiedy mam wolne, lubię zostawać w domu i nadrabiać rzeczy, na które nie mam czasu w tygodniu. When I have time off, I like staying at home and catching up on things I don’t manage during the week.
Zazwyczaj jeżdżę na wakacje raz lub dwa razy w roku. Moim ulubionym miejscem jest… I usually go on holiday once or twice a year. My favourite place is…
W tym roku planujemy krótki urlop za granicą, ale nic zbyt drogiego. This year we’re planning a short holiday abroad, but nothing too expensive.
Uczę się angielskiego od kilku lat, ale dopiero niedawno zacząłem traktować to poważnie. I’ve been learning English for a few years now, but I only started taking it seriously quite recently.
Uczę się angielskiego z przerwami od wielu lat, głównie w szkole, a później samodzielnie. I’ve been learning English on and off for many years, mostly at school and later on my own.
Uczyłem się angielskiego w szkole, ale dużo zapomniałem i teraz próbuję nadrobić. I learned English at school, but I forgot a lot and now I’m trying to catch up.
Uczę się angielskiego odkąd przeprowadziłem się do Wielkiej Brytanii, więc używam go codziennie w pracy. I’ve been learning English since I moved to the UK, so I use it every day at work.
