| عَمِّي لَا يَزَالُ يَسْتَخْدِمُ نَفْسَ السَّيَّارَةِ الَّتِي اشْتَرَاهَا عِنْدَمَا كَانَ عُمْرُهُ سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ عَامًا. كَانَ يَغْسِلُهَا كُلَّ أُسْبُوعٍ، وَالْآنَ لَمْ يَعُدْ يَغْسِلُهَا بَلْ يَقُومُ بِإِصْلَاحِهَا كُلَّ أُسْبُوعٍ. | My uncle still uses the same car he bought when he was 17 years old. He used to wash it every week, and now he no longer washes it, but instead repairs it every week. |
| كَانَ أَقَارِبُنَا فِي فَرَانْكْفُورْت يَزُورُونَنَا كَثِيرًا فِي الْمَاضِي، وَمَا زَالُوا يَزُورُونَنَا، وَلَكِنْ لَيْسَ بِنَفْسِ الْكَثْرَةِ كَمَا فِي السَّابِقِ. | Our relatives in Frankfurt used to visit us often in the past, and they still visit us, but not as frequently as before. |
| لَا تَزَالُ أَسْعَارُ الْمَسَاكِنِ مُرْتَفِعَةً، وَسَيَتَعَيَّنُ عَلَيْنَا اسْتِئْجَارُ مَنْزِلٍ، وَمَا زِلْنَا نَأْمَلُ فِي اسْتِئْجَارِ مَنْزِلٍ مُسْتَقِلٍّ وَلَيْسَ شَقَّةً. | Housing prices remain high, and we will have to rent a house; we are still hoping to rent a standalone house rather than an apartment. |
| إِذَا بَدَأْتَ بِتَحْضِيرِ الطَّعَامِ الْآنَ، سَتَتَمَكَّنُ مِنْ إِنْهَاءِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ بِحُلُولِ وَقْتِ وُصُولِهِمْ. | If you start preparing the food now, you will be able to finish everything by the time they arrive. |
| سَحَبَتِ الْأُمُّ جَمِيعَ الْأَمْوَالِ مِنْ حِسَابِهَا الْمَصْرِفِيِّ وَبَاعَتْ ذَهَبَهَا لِمُسَاعَدَةِ ابْنِهَا وَخَطِيبَتِهِ عَلَى شِرَاءِ ثَلَّاجَةٍ وَأَثَاثٍ لِمَطْبَخِهِمَا. | The mother withdrew all the money from her bank account and sold her gold to help her son and his fiancée buy a refrigerator and furniture for their kitchen. |
