Scientific Investigation a systematic, evidence-based process for testing ideas, answering questions about the nature

Independent Variable the one thing you change or control in an experiment to see what effect it has
Dependent Variable The dependent variable is the variable that is being measured or tested in an experiment
Controlled Variable factors kept intentionally unchanged throughout an experiment to ensure a fair test
Control a standard component of an experiment that remains untreated or unchanged
Conclusion the final step of an investigation, summarizing the results, evaluating the hypothesis
Analyze examine methodically and in detail the constitution or structure
Scientific Bias a systematic deviation from the truth in research
Data trends identified patterns or directional movements in a dataset observed over a specific time period
Data a collection of facts, numbers, words, observations or other useful information
