| Hematoma | Bruise, clot at site of injury |

| Syncope | Fainting |
| Erythrocytes | Red blood cells- make up 44% of whole blood |
| Hematocrit | A blood test that measures how much of a persons blood is made up of RBCs |
| Hemoglobin | Iron-containing protein that transports oxygen to the tissues |
| Leukocytes | WBCs that fight infection |
| Thrombocytes | Platelets- help form blood clots to slow or stop bleeding |
