| Bargaining and Persuasion | Informal tool used by the president to persuade members of Congress to support his policy initiatives. |
| Bully Pulpit (Going Public) | Presidential appeals to the public to pressure other branches of government to support his policies. |
| Executive Orders | A directive issued by the President of the United States that carries the force of law, allowing them to manage federal government operations and implement policies without needing direct congressional approval |
| Signing Statements | a written comment issued by the President when signing a bill into law, expressing their interpretation of the legislation; highlighting areas they agree or disagree with the law |
