TermDefinition
Multicultural Education Educational construct that addresses cultural diversity, equity in schools, justice, and diversity.
Justice Just treatment of all members of society with regard to a specified public issue.
Equity Impartiality and justice.
Diversity Differences and experiences that occur in a group where one person or experience is different.
Inclusion Act of making a person or thing a part of a group or collection.
Exceptionality Group A group sharing a set of specific abilities or disabilities that are especially valued or that require special accommodations within a given subculture.
Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) Involves a students' responses to their usual instructional materials. Direct and frequent samples of performance from their curriculum.
Classwide Peer Tutoring (CWPT) All students in the class are involved in tutoring and being tutored by classmates on specific skills as directed by their teacher.
Sheltered-English Approach Students receive instruction in English for most of the school day from the beginning of their schooling.
