Levels of Organization

Atoms The basic units of matter.
Molecules Atoms bond to form-
Organelle Formed from molecules, the functional units of cells.
Cell The basic unit of life.
Tissue Groups of similar cells carrying out a specific function.
Organ Composed of different tissues working together.
Organ System Groups of organs working together.
Organism An individual living thing.
Population A group of individuals of the same species.
Community A group of different species living together.
Ecosystem A biological community and its physical environment.
Biosphere The part of Earth inhabited by life.
