What is one challenge of living in the Chang Jiang River valley? limited space for farming.
How did they create fertile land in the Chang Jiang river valley? Built terraces along the sides of mountains and hills
Why is the Tibetan plateu called "The roof of the earth."? Rises 2 miles above sea level.
Why was there no fertile land in/on the Tibetan plateau? To cold and dry to grow crops.

What is one benefit of the Himalayas mountains? Separates the plains of the Indian sub continent from the Tibet plateau.
What does Taklamakan mean? " Once you go in, you will never come out."
How did the Taklamakan get it's name? Sudden sand storms hit
How is the Gobi desert different form the Taklamakan? Had less sand dunes and didn't have so sudden sandstorms.
How is the Gobi desert connected to the Hueng He/ North China plains? Loess blew form the Gobi desert
