| Expression | a group of numbers, variables, and/or operation symbols that represents a mathematical relationship |
| Facter noun | a number, or expression with parentheses, that is multiplied |
| Facter verb | to rewrite an expression as a product of factors |
| Term | a number, a variable, or a product of numbers, variables, and/or expressions; may include an exponent |
| Explain | to tell about something in a way that is easy to understand |
| Modify | to change some parts |
| Sketch | a drawing that is done quickly in order to give a general idea |
