Ambush military strategies designed to surprise and attack an enemy from a concealed position often leading to a quick and decisive victory
Blockade act or means of selling of a place to prevent good or people from entering or leaving
Breach thee act of forcibly creating an entry point through an enemy's defensive obstacle to allow troops to penetrate and assault their position
Charge battle maneuver where you advance toward the enemy at full speed to engage in close combat
Counterattack an attack made as an offset or reply to another attack
Decisive victory a clear, conclusive victory following a conflict that resolves the main issue that also ends a phase of fighting and establishing
Encirclement a military tactic or situation where a force is completely surrounded by enemy forces trapping them, that then leads to surrender or destruction
Fighting withdrawl a disciplined military or tactical movement backward while staying engaged with the enemy
Flanking maneuver a military tactic involving an ambush on the enemies unprotected side or rear
Frontal assault the beginning line of either side's military in a conflict
Garrison a group of soldiers living in or defending a town or building
Melee fighting at a very close range, either hand to hand or with short rang weapons
No quarter given show no mercy, pity, or leniency to an opponent (now considered a war crime)
Pickets either a soldier or small unit of soldiers are placed to provide warnings of any enemy
Pincer maneuver a military tactic where forces attack an enemy from both sides simultaneously, converging to encircle and trap them
Rout an overwhelming loss or defeat where the enemy cannot effectively regroup
Sack the violent, thorough plundering off a defeated town or city, leaving little untouched
Siege the encirclement of a city or stronghold by an army to force surrender
Skirmish a fight between a small number of soldiers that is usually planned and short
Military withdrawl the organized movement of armed forced away from an enemy or area of conflict
