Asexual Reproduction Process of reproduction involving a single parent that results in offspring that are genetically identical to the parent
Sexual Reproduction A reproductive process that involves two parents that combine their genetic material to produce a new organism, which differs from both parents
Fertilization The action or process of fertilizing an egg, female animal, or plant, involving the fusion of male and female gametes to form a zygote
Trait A characteristic that an organism can pass on to its offspring through its genes
Gene A segment of DNA on a chromosome that codex for a specific trait
Variation In Traits Differences in traits within a population
Fragmentation A means of asexual reproduction where by a single parents breaks into parts that regenerate into who new individuals
Budding A form of asexual reproduction of yeast in which a new cell grows out of the body of a parent
Stamen The male reproductive part of a flower
Pollen A fine dust that contains the sperm of seed-producing plants
Pistil The female reproductive part of a flower
Stigma The apical end of the style where deposited pollen enters the pistil
Plant Ovary The flower part, at the bottom of the pistil, where egg cells are formed
Ovule A structure that develops within the ovary of a seed plant and contains the female gametophyle
Seed Dispersal The movement or transport of seeds away from the parent plant
