Argument When the author wants to convince you of their position
Claim The author's main point
Rebuttal When the author respondonds directly to the counterclaim
Counterclaim The opposite viewpoint of the authors's claim
Evidence What the author uses to support their claim
Credibility The author is able to be believed and trusted
Ethos Emphasizes the speakers' credibility and authority, conveys trustworthyness expertise, values
Pathos Appeals to the audience's emotions, used to influence an audience to believe or do something
Logos Appeals to the audience's logic or reason, uses proof to influence the audience
