Argument

TermDefinition
Argument When the author wants to convince you of there position.
Claim The authors main point.
Rebuttal When the author responds directly to the counterclaim.
Counterclaim The opposite viewpoint of the authors claim.
Relevant Evidence What the author uses to support their claim.
Credible The author is able to be trusted and belived.
Ethos Emphasizes the speakers credibility and authority.
Pathos Appeals to the audience's emotions.
Logos Appeals to the audience logic or reason.
