Argument and claim
| Question | Answer |

| Argument | When the author wants to convince you of their position. |
| Claim | The author's main point |
| Evidence | What the author uses to support the claim |
| Counterclaim | The opposite viewpoint of the author's claim |
| Rebuttal | When the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
| Credibility | The author is able to be believed and trusted |
| Ethos | emphasizes the speaker's credibility and authority. Authority conveys trust worthiness, expertise, shared value, etc |
| Pathos | Appeals to the audience emotions. Pathos is used to influence the audience to a desired belief or actions. |
| Logos | Appeals to the audience logic or reason. Logos uses and form of proof to influence the audience |
