Argument When the author wants to convince you of their position.
Claim The author’s main point.
Rebuttal When the author responds directly to the counterclaim
Counterclaim The opposite viewpoint of the author’s claim
Relevant Evidence What the author uses to support their claim.
Credible The author is able to be believed and trusted
ethos emphasizes the speakers credibility and athority
pathos appeals to the audiences emotions
logos appeals to the audiences logic or reason
