Argument

TermDefinition
Argument When the author wants to convince you of their position
Claim The authors main point.
Rebuttal When the author responds directly to the counter claim
Counterclaim The opposite view point of the authors claim
Relevant Evidence What the author uses to support their claim
Credibility The author is able to be trusted and believed
Ethos Emphasize the speakers credibility and authority.
Pathos Appeals to the audiences emotions
Logos Appeals to the audiences logic or emotion.
