| Relevant Evidence | What the author uses to support their claim |
| Counterclaim | The opposite viewpoint of the author's claim |
| Rebuttal | When the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
| Credible | When the author responds directly to the counterclaim |
| Claim | The author main point |
| Ethos | a rhetorical or written technique that appeals to an audience or reader's ethics |
| Pathos | to persuade an audience by purposely evoking certain emotions to make them feel the way the author wants them to feel |
| Logos | Apples to the audience logic or reason. Uses proof to influence an audience |
