Argument When the author wants to convince you of their position.
Relevant Evidence What the author uses to support their claim
Counterclaim The opposite viewpoint of the author's claim
Rebuttal When the author responds directly to the counterclaim

Ethos a rhetorical or written technique that appeals to an audience or reader's ethics
Pathos to persuade an audience by purposely evoking certain emotions to make them feel the way the author wants them to feel
Logos Apples to the audience logic or reason. Uses proof to influence an audience
