argument and claim

QuestionAnswer
argument when the author wants to convince you of their position.
claim the authors main point.
relevant evidence what the author uses to support their claim
counterclaim the opposite viewpoint of the authors claim.
rebuttal when the author responds directly to the counterclaim
credibility the author is believed and trusted.
Ethos When the author appeals to the audience due to credibility and trust.
Pathos Appeals to the audience due to emotion and is good to convince someone of something.
Logos appeals to the audience due to logic or reason, like data.
