| Decree | to officially decide or order that something must happen |
| Burqas | a long, loose garment covering the whole body from head to feet, worn in public by some Muslim women. (eye net) |
| Intricate | very complicated or detailed. |
| Taliban | meaning "students" or "seekers," referring to the religious students |
| Looter | a person who steals goods, typically during a war or riot. |
| Hospitable | friendly and welcoming to strangers or guests or a pleasant and favorable place for living in. |
| Turban | a man's headdress, consisting of a long length of cotton or silk wound around a cap or the head, worn especially by Muslims and Sikhs. |
| Exhaustion | a state of extreme physical or mental fatigue. |
| Collapse | fall down or in; give way |
| Basin | a bowl for washing, typically attached to a wall and having faucets connected to a water supply |
| Sensible | chosen in accordance with wisdom or prudence; likely to be of benefit. |
| Eternity | infinite or unending time. |
| Preoccupied | engrossed in thought; distracted. |
