Process of Tumor

TermDefinition
1: Apoptopsis Prevented Cell Death and damaged cells survive
2: Profileration of cells Cells divide uncontrollably creating an abnormal increase in cells and tumor growth
3: De-Differentation Cells lose their shape and function allowing them to divide faster
4:Angiogenesis The tumor is stimulated which forms new blood cells and supplies O2 for growth
5: Invasion and Cluster Cells invade the tissues and break away from original mass, this is the early stage of cancer spread
6: Loss of Adhesivness Cells lose the ability to stick to eachother making them easier to detatch and move
7: Metastases Cells enter the bloodstream and spread to other organs. Secondary tumors form
