can accommodate 2.2 TB or larger drives. Handles drives with the aid of the Master Boot Record. IT tech giants such as Intel, AMD, AMI, Apple, Dell, HP, IBM, Lenovo, and Microsoft have phased out BIOS or are in the process of doing so in favor of UEFI Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI)
