AGENT one authorized to act for someone else
AFFIANT a person who makes a sworn written statement

AMICUS BRIEF brief filed by a person or entity not a party to the action in support of the subject matter of the action
ADJUDICATION judicial decision or sentence
AD HOC for this particular purpose
ABEYANCE a laps in succession during which there is no person to whom title is vested
BILL OF PARTICULARS a formal statement prepared by the plaintiff or defendant tiemizing a claim or counterclaim; or prepared by prosecution informing the accused of the charges
