| Quadrilaterals | 4 sided figures |
| Trapezoid | 4 sided figure with only 1 set of parallel sides |
| Rectangle | 4 sided figure with 4 right angles, 2 sets of parallel sides and opposite sides are the same length |
| Square | 4 sided figure with 4 right angles, 2 sets of parallel sides and all sides are the same length |
| Parallelogram | 4 sided figure. 2 sets of parallel sides. Opposite sides are equal in length. |
| Rhombus | 4 sided figure. All sides are equal in length. Opposite angles are equal |
| Triangle | 3 sided figure |
| Pentagon | 5 sided figure |
| Hexagon | 6 sided figure |
| Heptagon | 7 sided figure |
| Octagon | 8 sided figure |
| Nonagon | 9 sided figure |
| Decagon | 10 sided figure |
| Combining Polygons | Putting two or more polygons together to create a new polygon |
| Subdivide Polygons | Partitioning a polygon into smaller polygons |
