Confederation A group of states or countries that allows each member to govern themselves.
Articles of Confederation The first written plan of the US government.
Central government A group that has political control over a whole country.
Republic A nation in which the people who make laws and run the country are elected.
Representative A person to speak or act for a country.
Impose To set something.
Ordinance A regulation, law, or rule.
Committee A group of people who gather to raise awareness of a matter.
Amend To change or add to a law.
Veto Prevent a law from taking effect.
Supreme Having the highest rank.
Delegate A person who is chosen to speak or act for others.
Constitutional Having to do with a Constitution.
Unconstitutional Not having to do with a Constitution.
