| Coefficient (1) | the number in front of the variable. |
| Constant (1) | a term without a variable |
| Equation (1) | a mathematical sentence containing an = |
| Variable (1) | a letter that represents an unknown number |
| Translation (2) | when a figure slides by moving every point the same distance and direction |
| Reflection (2) | when a figure flips over a line so that each point is the same distance from the line |
| Rotation (2) | when a figure turns around a fixed point |
| Dilation (2) | when a figure shrinks or grows by a scale factor |
| Congruent (3) | two figures that are the same shape AND size, or two angles with the same measurements. |
| Similar (3) | two figures that are the same shape, and whose sides relate by the same scale factor |
| Transversal (3) | a line that intersects two or more parallel lines |
| Supplementary (3) | angles whose sum is 180 |
| Slope (4) | rate of change (slope is represented by "m") |
| Slope-intercept Form (4) | a linear equation in the form |
| Y-intercept (4) | starting value, represented by an equation |
| Rise (4) | the change in- value between any two points on a line |
| Run (4) | the change in x-value between any two points on a line |
| Scatter Plot (6) | A Data display that shows the relationship between two Data sets using ordered pairs in a coordinate plane. |
| Outlier (6) | a Data point that differs significantly from the rest of the data |
| Gap (6) | is formed when the points are loosely arranged around the trend line, leaving an open space. |
| Cluster (6) | when Data is "gathered" around a particular value. |
| Two- Way Table (6) | a table displaying 2 categories of data from the same sources |
