Group vertical columns of elements on the periodic table
Bonds holds atoms together, forming molecules, compounds, and larger structures by sharing, donation, or transfer of their (valence) electrons to make a stable substance
Shared electrons valence electrons that two or more atoms gather together in pairs to form a bond,
new substance formed during a chemical change (or reaction), where atoms rearrange to form new chemical bonds, resulting in matter with different properties than the starting materials (reactants).
