Trail of Tears A 800 mile forced march west from the east territory to territory in the west. ¼ of the 18,000 cherokee indians died.
sectionalism Liking your own part of the country leading to different ideas and disagreements
Electoral College The system for electing the president in which electors represent each state and vote for president
Congress The combined group of members of the house of representatives and members of senate
Federalism A system where power is shared between a big central government and smaller governments (federal government and state government)
