What is area. Area is the size of a surface, measured by the number of square units in a surface or shape. It is measured in metres squared, area= length x width.
What is volume. Volume is the amount of space something takes up,formula for volume = Lenght x width x height = m cubed.(3)
What is the meniscus? The meniscus is a curve of the surface of the water.
What is mass? Mass is the amount of matter or particles in a object, measured in kg.
Name all the international system of units. Mass= kilogram/g Lenght=metre Time= second. Temprature*= kelvin/celsius. Area= square metre Volume = cubic metre.
What is accuracy? Accuracy is when measurements of a quantity are close to that quantiites real value.
How is the volume of an iregfulad solid measured? Using water displacement Steps are: 1: fill graduated cylinder with water. 2 record initial volume of water 3. Place irelluhae object into graduated cyclones 4. Record final volume 5. -first volume - final volume to find volume of displaced water.
What does the displaced water do? The displaced water in the cylinder occupies the same space as the irregular solid, meaning the volumes are equal.
Name a instrument used to measure the diameter of a pipe, A vernier calliper, which The diameter of circular objects e,g pipe.
Name an instrument used to measure rivers on scaled maps. An opisometer, which measured the length of curved lines,e.h rivers and roads on scaled maps.
