WDWN Well developed, well nourished
PACU Post-anesthesia care unit
CC Chief complaint - The main reason for the patient's visit
Social History A record of habits like smoking, drinking, drug abuse, and sexual practices that can impact health.
Prone position Patient lying on their belly
Medial Towards the middle. Like the median on a highway.
Proximal Closer to the center.
DDx Differential Diagnosis: a list of conditions the patient may have based on the symptoms.
Sequela a problem that results from a disease or injury.
idiopathic No known specific cause, it just happens.
Percussion To hit something and listen to the resulting sound or feel for the resulting vibration. (Drums are a percussion instrument)
Lethargic Decreased level of consciousness.
Chronic Been going on for a while now.
